We are proud to announce that we have now been accredited as a Living Wage Employer!

The Living Wage commitment ensures that people working receive a higher minimum wage than the Government minimum for those over 23. This real living wage is calculated using the cost of living as a key factor.

The cost of living has been rising rapidly more recently, making this commitment even more important and valuable. The real living wage commitment is completely voluntary, and it means that staff members are being paid fairly for their hard work.

According to research by the Living Wage Foundation, around 12.5% of jobs in the North West pay less than the real living wage. It’s very important to raise awareness of these things so that more employers can look to provide better working conditions for staff members.

Here’s what our Managing Director, Tom, had to say about becoming a Living Wage accredited employer.

“I’m extremely proud to have taken the step to be a living wage accredited employer. I think it’s very important that employers support staff wherever they can. The cost of living increases have impacted many people, so we should do what we can to help.

The Living Wage Foundation is a fantastic organisation, and I’m looking forward to helping to raise awareness for them in the future.”

Katherine Chapman, Director, Living Wage Foundation, said: “We’re delighted that Complete has joined the movement of over 12,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.

“They join thousands of small businesses, as well as household names such as Burberry, Barclays, Everton Football Club and many more. These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they, like Complete, believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.”

This is a fantastic way to show gratitude to staff members and ensure that everyone is paid a fair amount for their hard work.
