Social Value
At Complete, we recognise the importance of supporting the local community. As a result, we regularly raise awareness and funds to support a range of local charities. Along with monetary donations, present gifting and providing digital marketing solutions free of charge, we can often be found crawling through mud, climbing a mountain (or three) or running a few miles to do our bit.
Each of the community projects that we support offers fantastic opportunities for many people. Take a look at some of the amazing charities that we’ve worked with over the last few years.
Wesley’s Cafe/Larder
Wesley’s Cafe and Larder provide cooked meals for those less fortunate. Since the pandemic and the cost of living crisis, this service has become even more important. The volunteers work so hard to take care of the local community. Our donation allows the volunteers to organise food from a specialist supplier and continue offering healthy meals.
Streetlife Blackpool
Streetlife Blackpool offers shelter and support for vulnerable and homeless young people aged between 16 and 25 in Blackpool. Their support services include counselling and life skill sessions, such as art and cooking classes.
In March 2024, we raised money for Streetlife Blackpool through our 15-year charity ball event. The event was a huge success, and we donated £4047.40 โ thank you for all of your support.
Fylde Rugby Community Foundation
The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation offers rugby events for schools and adults in the local community. Their aim is to promote rugby and its values. They deliver regular sports projects and provide rugby coaching in schools.
Santa’s Slog
Santa’s Slog is an event organised by a fantastic team of locals. Bill Hodgson completes extreme physical challenges around the area to raise money for various charities. We have supported Santa’s Slog for the last few years and are always amazed at what can be achieved by the team.
Starr in the Community
We recently became a sponsor of Starr in the Community, which provides fun experiences to children of all abilities. Their fun circus shows give children the freedom to enjoy themselves. Starr understands that many families struggle to attend events for various reasons, so they tour the UK regularly with their incredibly talented team.
St Annes FC
St Annes FC offers regular training and matches for young people living on the Fylde Coast. We are an official kit sponsor of St Annes FC.
Mind Lancashire
Lancashire Mind is an independent mental health charity that delivers life-changing and life-saving services to improve mental health and well-being for people all over Lancashire. It offers a host of services for adults, children, and young people, including coaching sessions to increase well-being, confidence, and resilience.
In 2025, our CEO, Tom, was selected as a Lancashire Mind Ambassador. His role involves raising awareness of the charity and helping to reduce stigmas surrounding mental health.
Over the years, we’ve held events and completed challenges to support the charity.
- May 2021: Tom completed the 3 Peaks in 24 hours challenge for Mind charity.
- March 2024: Our 15-year charity ball event, where we donated £4047.40 to the charity.
- July 2024: Tough Mudder, where we raised £780 for the charity.
Cash for Kids
Cash for Kids supports young people around the UK who are affected by poverty, neglect, illnesses and more. The charity runs multiple fundraising initiatives throughout the year to raise awareness and money for young people.
In September 2023, we took on the UK Firewalk in Preston to raise money for Cash for Kids. The Firewalk involved walking over hot coals at 1000°F โ we were very โbrave solesโ indeed! We managed to raise over £900 for the charity that makes a real difference to young people in the area.
In June 2024, we took on the Walk the Big One challenge at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. During this epic challenge, we reached a whopping 235ft! Thank you so much for all of your donations โ we managed to raise an incredible £565 for Cash For Kids Lancashire.
Christmas Jumper Day
Christmas Jumper Day is organised by Save the Children. Each year, the money raised helps to provide care for children in the UK and across the world. At Complete, the team always take part in raising money for young people who need it most.
